Marijuana Use and Sex with Multiple Partners among Youth



A new study published in BMC Public Health examined the temporal association between marijuana use and sex with multiple partners among LGB youth.


The authors concluded that marijuana use is concurrently and prospectively associated with increased odds of having sex with multiple partners among adolescents and young adults.


The implication is that HIV prevention strategies might benefit from targeting marijuana prevention/reduction among both LGB adolescents and young adults.
