Prevention Partnership Opportunities
Prevention Plus Wellness's (PPW) critical mission is to provide the only evidence-based brief substance use/misuse prevention interventions designed to increase protective healthy lifestyles among youth and young adults across the US and abroad.
Please consider ways you and your organization can partner with PPW to use our programs, training and resources to protect and promote the mental and physical health, performance and happiness of young people in your region, state and nation.
Here are 10 ways you can team up with us today:
1. Partner with us to conduct an evaluation of our evidence-based SPORT (Alcohol/Drug) PPW program in your region.
Selected partners will receive free program manuals and materials and online training for program implementers. Implementers can receive a cash gift card at the end of the evaluation.
SPORT PPW programs consist of a single 45-minute motivational lesson presented to youth individually or in groups aimed at preventing youth substance use/misuse while promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors associated with mental and physical wellbeing.
To partner with PPW, the evaluation design should include:
- A minimum of 250 adolescents (either high school or middle school aged youth) from one or more schools, school districts, sports programs, clinics, wellness centers, alternative schools, diversion programs, etc.
- Half of the adolescents (125 youth) will complete an online pretest, receive the 45-minute SPORT PPW program, and complete an online posttest approximately 3 months after program implementation (end of semester).
- The other half of the adolescents (125 youth) will complete an online pretest and an online posttest approximately 4 months after the pretest implementation (end of semester).
- Implementers will complete a brief online instructor survey after each SPORT PPW program presentation to monitor program implementation quality.

2. We can help your 501c3 organization write a grant to fund PPW programs, training and evaluation for youth in your region.
