Thanks to our prevention partners at ESD 112 Prevention and Youth Services who serve a 30 school district region in Washington State.
ESD 112 Prevention and Youth Services are dedicated to helping school communities establish and maintain supportive learning environments.
Their purpose is to provide a comprehensive, integrated model of services that fosters safe school environments, promotes healthy childhood development, and prevents violence and alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse.
The mission of ESD 112 Prevention and Youth services is to foster healthy, safe and engaged students through comprehensive systems of support in order to overcome learning barriers and increase student achievement.
The goal of ESD 112 Prevention/Intervention Specialists is to increase the educational success of students by building a protective environment, increasing the resiliency of students who are at risk of drug use, and decreasing student use of harmful substances.
ESD 112 is preparing to implement the evidence-based SPORT Prevention Plus Wellness program at the high school and elementary school levels which will help them achieve their stated purpose, mission and goal.
Their Prevention/Intervention Specialists will receive online training to become certified to implement the SPORT Prevention Plus Wellness program with fidelity and maximum effectiveness.
Included with the SPORT Prevention Plus Wellness program and training is free implementation support and evaluation services to assess program fidelity and pre-post program effectiveness for promoting their program and tailoring it to enhance its efficacy over time.
