Strategic Prevention Framework Partnership Grants to Provide Prevention and Wellness Services

The purpose of this program is to help reduce the onset and progression of substance misuse and its related problems by supporting the development and delivery of community-based substance misuse prevention and mental health promotion services. 

The program is intended to expand and strengthen the capacity of local community prevention providers to implement evidence-based prevention programs. 

This grant program is a great opportunity to fund Prevention Plus Wellness (PPW) programs and training to prevent youth and adult substance use/misuse and promote healthy lifestyle behaviors linked to mental and physical wellbeing. 

PPW programs for young people include the following one-session interventions: 

  • SPORT (Alcohol) PPW
  • SPORT Alcohol & Cannabis PPW
  • Marijuana PPW
  • Vaping (E-Cigarette) PPW
  • Opioid PPW
  • InShape (Alcohol) PPW for young adults
  • Opioid & Stimulants PPW for young adults 

We also have two multi-session youth programs, including: 

  • SPORT 3 PPW (Three sessions, including alcohol, marijuana & e-cigarette prevention)
  • SPORT Health Behaviors (Six sessions addressing healthy habits & substance use prevention) 

In addition, PPW has one-session parent training programs, multi-media campaigns, and SBIRT programs addressing youth use of: 

  • Alcohol
  • Marijuana
  • E-Cigarettes
  • Opioids 

Program implementer and training of trainer workshops are available both online and onsite to ensure program fidelity, quality, and effectiveness. 

PPW programs and training are available for individual prevention and health specialists and PPW licenses allow unlimited numbers of people to access PPW programs and online program implementer training courses.
